The 2019 SDGs Photography Competition is hosted on JCI Malta, and by entering this competition you agree to be bound by JCI Malta’s Terms & Conditions.
In addition, please note the following in relation to the 2019 SDGs Photography Competition:
1. The Promoter
The main promoter for this competition is JCI Malta, however, any company or entity that is listed as SUPPORTER or SPONSOR of the competition is eligible to part-take in promotional activity.
The 2019 SDGs Photography Competition is open to contestants between the ages of 18 and 40. To be eligible to compete, the contestants need the turn 18 at some point in 2019 or turn 41 by latest the 28th September.
3. Submission Rules
Entries must be submitted in a Google Drive folder in the format specified by the closing date for each category. The Google Drive folder link needs to be emailed to [email protected]
No entries will be accepted by post.
Images (including similar images taken from the same series of photographs) that have previously won a national or international photography award or are entered into a competition where the results are pending, are not eligible for entry.
Submission email needs to be written as follows:
Email Subject: SDG Photography Competition – SDG XX – Name of Photographer
The email needs to include a google drive link with the photograph, name of the photograph, 100-200 word description of what the photograph represents, copy of entry fee transaction in .pdf.
If submitting more than 1 photo, a separate email for each photo needs to be sent.
Winner(s) of our competition will be eligible to receiving prize(s) that are exclusively set by the organisation.
The winning photographers will be formally announced at the prize ceremony to be held the National Convention Gala/Charity dinner on the 12th October or at an alternative time and venue at the promoter’s discretion.

5. Competition Judging
The Judges’ decision is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Copyright and permissions
You warrant that the entry is entirely your own work and not copied or adapted from any other source. You retain all rights you have in the copyright and other intellectual property rights comprising your entry.
Content submitted to The 2019 SDG Photography Competition may be published by JCI Malta and its licensees in print and/or digital media (including social media pages) on a worldwide, perpetual basis in association with this competition only. Please do not send over any content if you do not agree to these terms.
The promoter is excluded from liability for any loss, damage or injury which might occur to the winner arising from his or her acceptance of the prize. The entrant will indemnify the Promoter for all liabilities, including legal costs, in relation to any action or complaint taken by any third party against the Promoter in relation to the entrant’s photograph(s).
The promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Maltese law. When a photograph is submitted and the entry date has passed, the entry cannot be changed or withdrawn. No refunds will be given. Entry to the Competition shall be deemed full and unconditional acceptance of the terms & conditions.
